Nongonococal Urethritis
Nongonococal urethritis is a completely different diagnosis than that of vaginosis or vaginitis.
Other ways of contracting the infection that are nonsexual may include an inflamed prostrate gland due to bacteria, a narrowing or closing of the tube in the penis, a tightening of the foreskin so it cannot be pulled back from the head of the penis, or urinary tract infections.
Nongonococal urethritis is a completely different diagnosis than that of vaginosis or vaginitis.

Nongonococal Urethritis -
Vaginosis, Vaginitis
Direct mucous membrane contact with an infected person through sex is the most common way of becoming infected with NGU. Some of the organisms that cause NGU (e.g., chlamydia) also may cause anal or oral infections in both men and women as the result of anal or oral sex. Nongonococal urethritis is a completely different diagnosis than that of vaginosis or vaginitis.
