Nongonococal urethritis accomplished with condyloma is not related to genital herpes. Some of the organisms that cause NGU (e.g. chlamydia) also may cause anal or oral infections in both men and women as the result of anal or oral sex. Direct mucous membrane contact with an infected person through sex is the most common way of becoming infected with NGU.
